The updates keep on coming for Splatoon, Nintendo’s award-winning Wii U shooter. This time, the company has revealed two more maps that will be joining the stage rotation: Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games.
Unlike past stage announcements, Nintendo has chosen to unveil Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games in a catchy “squid dance” video, giving fans a chance to see the new maps in action. The first looks like a large construction site, with conveyor belts and a giant saw looming in the background. The second stage, meanwhile, resembles a spacious office (likely a video game development studio, given its name). You can see footage of both maps in the video below.
Nintendo hasn’t revealed exactly when Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games will be added to the game, but it won’t be long before players see them in the stage rotation.

Question: I don’t have a copy of the game yet, so are those downloadable maps temporary or permanent with the ones included with the game?
These two haven’t gone live yet, but they’ll be permanent fixtures of the game once they do.
If you’re not too familiar with how the online multiplayer works in Splatoon since you don’t have the game, there are only four maps available to play at a time (two for Turf War and two for Ranked Battle), and they rotate out every four hours. You can see which maps are in the rotation by going to SplatNet and logging in with your NNID.
