Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! will be launching later this month, and alongside them will be the new Poké Ball Plus accessory. We’ve known for a while how the new device can used as a controller with the Switch games and that you can transfer creatures from the game into it, but we haven’t been certain about how it works with Pokémon Go. Now, that information has finally been revealed.
If you choose to use the Poké Ball Plus with the mobile game, its function will depend on whether or not you transfer a Pokémon from either of the Let’s Go games to it. If the accessory is empty, it serves the same purpose as the already available Pokémon Go Plus accessory, which vibrates when near a PokéStop and allows you to collect the items with a quick press of a button. However, when there’s a Pokémon inside, the Poké Ball Plus will automatically activate nearby PokéStops and collect the items for you.
Both new Switch games as well as the Poké Ball Plus will be available November 16.
