Fans around the world are desperate for more information about the forthcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game launches in early May of 2023 and while it’s know that Link will be taking to the skies once more for this adventure, there isn’t a whole lot else to tell. While details still remain scarce, at Nintendo Live 2022, an event the company held in Tokyo, Japan over the weekend, a particular statue caught many people’s attention. The statue in question is of Link in Tears of the Kingdom sporting a glowing gauntlet on his right arm. Nintendo was kind enough to post a couple of snapshots of the statue via social media for those who weren’t in attendance to check out:

The statue is stunning but does leave fans with more questions than answers. Specifically, what is that gauntlet supposed to be? It bears a passing resemblance to the technology that powers the Sheikah Slate from Breath of the Wild, but what could it be? Guess we’ll all just have to speculate until May of next year. In the interim, posit your own theory down in the comments!
