While Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is coming to Nintendo Switch, it turns out it’s the heavily-censored version of the game that was released on Wii U back in 2016 for North American and European audiences.

As a result, Nintendo has made an apology to its Japanese audience for providing “insufficient” information about what version of the game the Switch port would be, and is offering players in that region refunds for pre-orders of the game. They have also stated that they will work to avoid making the same mistake in the future. Refunds can be claimed from October 25 through November 15, and players need only fill out an online form to receive their refund.

Changes between the original Japanese release and the Western localization of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE ranged from covering up female characters wearing costumes deemed too scantily clad, to changing the age range of characters from 16-18 to 17-19, to changing the content of the game’s third dungeon from swimsuit and lingerie modeling to modeling colorful streetwear instead.
