It’s fairly typical for console’s to get third party decals, touchscreen protectors or, at least in the Wii era, rubber sleeves. Still, this Cardboard Coating Spray, which protects your Nintendo Labo cardboard from sweat, oil and grim, is a particularly strange one.

The spray will set you back 1,706 yen ($15.30) and there is enough in the bottle to cover ten pieces of Labo cardboard. It also helps the kit to repel water which may be useful if you are in the habit of spilling drinks or have an urge to take your Labo robot kit out into the rain (I still would not recommended this!).

The spray will be available in Japan on August 10, although there is no word yet on whether anything similar will make its way West any time soon.
