Nintendo Indie World: Quantum League Is An FPS That Plays With Time

Think the movie Groundhog Day with guns and you’re halfway there…

If there’s any genre that Switch doesn’t have an abundance of, it’s quality first person shooters. Thankfully, Nimble Giant Entertainment is bringing an FPS with a unique hook to Nintendo Switch. The game is called Quantum League and it employs time loops in some fascinating ways. Take a look in the trailer (find it at 8:25):

Basically, players partake in deathmatch battles, but in Quantum League these matches can be rewound with “clones” or copies of the player that mimic their original motions from earlier in the round. It’s some trippy action that looks ripe for experimentation. It’ll be launching in late 2020.
