Shoot ’em ups are some of the most infamously challenging types of video games on the planet. That makes it all the more interesting that California-based developer Tic Toc Games is taking a (ahem) shot at the genre that’s meant to be family-friendly! Peep the first trailer for B.ARK (Bio-Interstellar Ark), below:

B.ARK is a co-op game that allows for up to four players to join in simultaneously. Horizontally scrolling, the screen fills with blasts and coins in a flurry of action, all wrapped in a bubbly, cartoon-like veneer. It certainly looks the part of a shmup, although it isn’t entirely clear what makes it specifically “family friendly” beyond its aesthetic. Perhaps being able to bring in multiple people at once lessens the difficulty?

We’ll all find out together when this timed-exclusive comes to Switch in late 2020! What do you think of B.ARK so far? Tell us in the comments and on social media!
