It might just be August, but it seems like Nintendo might already be gearing up for the holidays with today’s announcement of more titles getting the Nintendo Selects label and some aggressively priced bundles.
First, more 3DS and Wii U games are joining the growing list of Nintendo Selects, best sellers that have received price cuts. On the handheld side of things, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Tomodachi Life, Nintendogs + cats: Golden Retriever & New Friends, and Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins are all being added. For Wii U, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Nintendo Land, and Lego City Undercover are being added. All of these titles will retail for $19.99 starting on August 26.
Several other titles are also going to see re-releases, except this time it will be with compatible Amiibo. Yoshi’s Woolly World will be available with either a pink or blue Yarn Yoshi Amiibo. Mario Party 10 will come with either Peach or Bowser. Lastly, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will include Toad, of course. These bundles will be available on September 9 and retail for $39.99.
Finally, Nintendo will be releasing a New 3DS bundle exclusively through Walmart and Target on August 26. $149.99 will net you the system, two Mario-themed cover plates, and Super Mario 3D Land pre-loaded on the system.

Not to plug (I have no affiliation with this company), but the prime price for preordering through amazon is $15.99 USD. I just pre-ordered/rebought the excellent Luigi’s Mansion, and the slightly buggy, but still enjoyable Lego City Undercover (Wii U) for slightly less than $32.
Even if you did have some affiliation, we are totally cool with a plug. Can’t beat finding out a good deal on a good game!
Thanks!
