Wii RPG classic Xenoblade Chronicles has officially gone from being an Operation Rainfall rescue mission to full-blown must-have Nintendo franchise. The original game was once remade for New Nintendo 3DS and is now being released a third time as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch! There isn’t much word on what will or won’t be different about the game, but if nothing else fans can expect the already impressive graphics of the Wii iteration to be bumped up to HD.
As of this writing there’s only a nebulous 2020 release window for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. Still, with the arrival of that game all that will be left in order to get the whole series onto Switch will be a port of Xenoblade Chronicles X. will it ever happen? Fingers crossed and we’ll keep you all posted when we hear more!
