While the Splatoon series has become known in part for its generous helpings of free DLC, the return of paid DLC (the first time since Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion) was virtually inevitable. However, at least Nintendo seems to be providing some bang for your buck with the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass. Let’s take a look:
So, here’s what we know so far:
- The DLC will come in four waves, with the first two drops being Inkopolis and Side Order.
- Inkopolis brings a recreation of the original Splatoon game’s main hub world, Inkopolis Plaza. The Squid Sisters will perform here during Splatfests!
- Side Order is a single-player expansion that centers around Splatoon 2’s hub, Inkopolis Square. This expansion is currently very shrouded in mystery.
Inkopolis comes to Splatoon 3 this spring and will sell for $24.99. The second wave comes later this year with aves three and four to be announced. Are you excited to see the game receiving such ambitious DLC plans? Tell us in the comments!
