With Pokémon Sword and Shield’s release date rapidly approaching, more and more information has started to emerge. Today’s Nintendo Direct revealed a handful of new details, including two new Pokémon: Polteageist and Cramorant!
Cramorant is a Water/Flying-type bird with an interesting new ability: Gulp Missile! When Cramorant uses Surf or Dive the turn before, the bird snags a fish inside its beak. If the opposing Pokémon attacks Cramorant the following turn, Cramorant will fire the fish at its attacker! Meanwhile, Polteageist is a Ghost-type teapot. It has also been revealed that the recently revealed Pokémon Alcremie will come in multiple “flavors.”
Finally, two new gameplay additions were revealed for Sword and Shield. Pokémon Camps are a new place where Pokémon can play together. Trainers can apparently visit camps created by other trainers, though details are slim at this time. The game will also feature a new cooking minigame in which players can create different types of curry.
Pokémon Sword and Shield release worldwide November 15.
