Control, from developer Remedy Entertainment, made quite a splash when it launched in 2019. The game revolves around Federal Bureau of Control agent Jesse Faden’s investigations into cases that defy the laws of reality. Highly lauded, Control sadly missed out on a Nintendo Switch release—until now! Control Ultimate Edition – Cloud Version is available on the console for immediate play via the cloud. It is the first game outside of Japan to offer cloud gaming on Nintendo Switch in the West.

As is the case with the upcoming Hitman 3—Cloud Version on Switch, Control is playable only via an Internet connection. The game is streamed to your console as you play, which in turn means expect a certain degree of latency, as a result. Also, this means ownership of Control on Switch is rather dubious, as players are entirely dependent on external factors like servers and Internet service in order to play. Still, this is a decent workaround for those who would like to experience more technologically progressive games that have, up to now, only been available on consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
