The rumors surrounding a rerelease of Metroid Prime have been swirling for years. Although many an alleged leaker has come forward to claim that this game was in the can and ready to go, Nintendo has been silent on the issue… until now. During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, Metroid Prime Remastered was not only announced, it was also released in the eShop. Take a look at it in action right here:
This remaster boats gorgeous, HD graphics as well as a multitude of control schemes. You can even switch the controls to match the classic button layout of the GameCube controller. If you’re not interested in a digital copy of Metroid Prime Remastered, a physical version will hit retail on February 22.
