Luigi’s Mansion 3 is, in this writer’s opinion, one of the finest games Nintendo has ever released. Its predecessor, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, was a Nintendo 3DS title and the sequel to the original Luigi’s Mansion. It’s a fine, if inferior game, and will be making a comeback in 2024 with enhanced visuals when it comes to Nintendo Switch. You can see a look at the upgrades in these screenshots:
The screenshots (and the footage shown during the Direct, which you can see at the link below) look great, but the larger question is arguably what other changes might be coming to Dark Moon? The original version of the game is far more aggressive about holding the player’s hand than Luigi’s Mansion 3 and suffers from constant narrative disruptions in the form of a nauseatingly chatty Professor E. Gadd who frequently stops the action to bloviate. Will these pacing issues be corrected in some way for the rerelease? We’ll let you know once we learn more, folks.
