Square Enix revealed that beloved PlayStation Portable classic Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII would be coming to Nintendo Switch as Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion later this year. Now, the release date is finally confirmed: December 13, 2022! You can see another look at the remastered game right here:

For the uninitiated, Crisis Core is the prequel to Final Fantasy VII. The game reveals the events that led up to the epic clash between Cloud and Sephiroth, fleshing out in particular the story of Zack Fair. Zack is the SOLDIER member who Cloud’s persona is pulled from, so he’s a pretty important figure in the FFVII mythos.

Along with enhanced graphics, the combat system has been overhauled and new music arrangements have been included. It’s all shaping up to be a lovingly crafted return to a game many thought might be lost to time. Will you be giving this one a go this winter? Tell us in the comments!
