This Week in Downloadable Games
Last Monday saw no Virtual Console release. Nintendo makes up for it this week with Aero the Acro-Bat, a 1993 Super Nintendo platformer. Its sequel, Aero the Acro-Bat 2, will also be re-released on Virtual Console by summer’s end. Two games have been added to the WiiWare library today; the undersea treasure-hunting adventure of Dive: The Medes Islands Secret and the intense arcade shooter Heavy Fire: Special Operations. DSiWare is booming as usual, with a whopping five titles to chose from this week. Face Pilot: Fly With Your Nintendo DSi Camera! (yes, that is the full title) is an interesting little flying game that tracks your head movements to control your glider. Crystal Monsters is an adventure game that screams Pokémon (and possibly Monster Rancher, and that’s not a bad thing), and also utilizes the DSi camera. Puffins: Let’s Race! is yet another Puffins game, this time a racer; and Petz® Hamsterz® Family is yet another Petz® Hamsterz® game. Our last DSiWare game this week is Absolute Brickbuster, which promises to bring “classic brick game action” in a style that is not a far cry from Breakout.
Here’s the short list of this week’s Wii Shop Channel releases:

Release Date Announced For Creepy WiiWare Game Enjoy Your Massage
Another thing you can cross off of your “Things That Don’t Have a Video Game” list: Enjoy Your Massage hits WiiWare on August 5th. Here’s an actual blurb from developer Microforum LTD.:
“In Enjoy your massage! you will be hired as an apprentice masseur of Giselle’s beauty farm, one of the most famous in the city. Learn new relaxing massage combinations (sic) and apply them on your stressed customers! As an apprentice, you’ll have to do your best: if your client gets angry, no one will save you from losing your job, but if you prove to be able, you might even become the director of the whole beauty farm!”
Oh, and here’s the trailer. Thank me later.

New Legendary Pokemon Revealed…#000?
This week’s episode of Pokémon Sunday was a surprise, to say the least. Not that you weren’t expecting a surprise, but… this one couldn’t have been predicted by anyone. A new legendary pokémon, named Victini, has been revealed. The new pokémon’s name is not the noteworthy part of this story, but the fact that he is numbered #000 in the new region’s Pokédex. The pokemon can be obtained through an item called the Liberty Ticket, which will be distributed through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from September 18th through October 18th. Most other information, like Victini’s type, is currently unknown, and there is no word on when this event will happen in America.
Has the Pokémon series jumped the shark? Well, there’s already a “Pokémon God,” so let me know when they reveal the “Pokémon Devil” and maybe I’ll come to a decision.
