The SNES Classic is just a little over a month away and Nintendo is ramping up the hype with a new video showing off the extra features gamers will be able to expect when the system debuts. The video should also press the nostalgia buttons for those who remember gaming in the early 90s.
In addition to the 21 included games, the SNES Classic will feature plenty of little extras to enhance your gaming experience. First, players will be able to select different frames to border your screen, a feature that reminds me of the Super Game Boy. Some of these features might also prove incredibly useful, such as the ability to rewind gameplay as well as save multiple “suspend points” for each title, effectively removing the save point stress of yesteryear.
Preorders for the SNES Classic also went live this morning, and, to no one’s surprise, they went very quickly. Hopefully more will open up between now and the system’s September 29 release.
