While Switch has yet to receive a full-fledged Star Fox game, the console was blessed in 2018 with Starlink: Battle for Atlas. The Ubisoft published title featured a neat extra for Switch owners: exclusive missions featuring Fox McCloud and his trusty Arwing! While the rest of Team Star Fox appeared throughout the game’s narrative, none of the characters were playable, unfortunately. That will change in the game’s update, coming in the very near future!
The previous Switch exclusive missions featured Fox in pursuit of longtime enemy, Wolf O’Donnell. This time around, Team Star Fox will have to deal with Wolf’s compatriots in Team Star Wolf: Pigma Dengar, Leon Powalski and Andrew Oikonny! Falco, Slippy and Peppy have all been upgraded to fully playable characters. There has been no announcement whether any of the characters will receive their own figures as Fox did, however.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas’ update will arrive April 2019.
