Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new trailer for its new upcoming title, Lego Marvel’s Avengers.
The trailer showcases many of the games open-world areas featured in the Marvel films, such as Thor’s home world of Asgard to S.H.I.E.L.D. Base Exterior. The full list of explorable areas are as follows:
- New York City
- Asgard
- Barton Farm
- Malibu
- S.H.I.E.L.D. Base Exterior
- Sokovia
- South Africa
- Washington, D.C.
Probably most impressive is New York City, built in all its Lego glory. Not only is it available for you to run around with whichever Avenger you see fit, but the city itself has its own interactive population, with many of its inhabitants often in need of your help. Check out the awesome trailer below.
However, there may be a small sting in the tail for fans who may not be into the original Marvel comics, but follow the more recent movie and televised Marvel universe. Unfortunately, due to the mature tone of recent Netflix Marvel series’ such as Daredevil and Jessica Jones, character such as these will revert back to their original comic book designs for the upcoming game.
So what do you think? Impressed with the GTA-esque style of the upcoming Lego Avengers game? Or disappointed that you’re not going to be able to hang people off of buildings, Daredevil style? As usual, let us know in the comments below.
