The latest Pokémon Sun and Moon trailer is filled to the brim with surprises and revelations, including the answer to everyone’s burning question: what are the final evolutions of the Alolan starters?!
Check out the trailer below to find out!
Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina are this generation’s final evolutions for the three starter Pokémon. What do you think? Has this changed who you will be picking as your starter?
This trailer also introduces us to the three Island Guardians– Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini, respectively– which have unique special abilities that affect the battlefield, as you will see demonstrated above. They share a Z-Move called Guardian of Alola, which delivers a huge, crushing blow to opposing Pokémon.
And while we’re on the topic of battling, the Alola region is home to the Battle Tree, where trainers who have completed the island challenge can go head-to-head; however, you can also team up with trainers you’ve encountered in the past and form a seriously strong duo rather than taking on the Battle Tree alone. And you might need the extra help, because a couple of familiar faces have appeared to fight:
That’s right, the legends themselves, Red and Blue, are making an appearance in Sun and Moon and they’re looking to battle! They’re also looking a little older than they did in their first appearances back in Pokémon Red and Blue — for those of us who have been playing since Gen 1, it’s pretty cool to see that the trainers we were first introduced to have grown up with us.
Make sure to check out the trailer for all of the details mentioned here and more, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
