Splatoon 2, like its predecessor on Wii U, is the game that keeps on giving. Fans have grown accustomed to receiving new stages, weapons, and more on a regular basis via a steady stream of DLC dumps. Now, however, things are set to undergo a bit of a tweak. DLC is still coming, but it’ll be meted out differently, with new updates coming once a month rather than weekly. The next update will be arriving in early September:
Along with this news, Nintendo has also made it known that Starfish Mainstage is going to be unavailable for a stretch as it gets some mysterious maintenance done to it. The map will still be available for private matches, but Ranked, Regular, and League Matches won’t have it as an option. There’s no specific word on when it will return.
