Today, The Pokémon Company revealed another new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon, the latest titles in the popular franchise. The trailer unveils a number of new innovations for the series, including new forms native to the region, Z-Moves and more! We’ve embedded the trailer below!
The Alola region’s Island Challenges seem to be a big departure from the typical gym leader format. It isn’t known at this time if the game’s Kahunas and Totem Pokémon will take the place of gym leaders, though it does seem likely. Long-time fans of the Pokémon anime might see some similarities to the way the Orange League played out, interestingly enough!
The game’s new Z-Ring, which actives the game’s powerful new Z-Moves, will be accompanied by a physical ring produced by Tomy. The physical ring will light-up and make sounds to correspond with actions as they occur in-game. Whether or not the ring provides any further benefits remains to be seen.
From everything revealed so far, it looks like Pokémon Sun and Moon could be the most significant departure for the Pokémon franchise in quite some time! Let us know what you think of the game’s latest trailer in the comments below!
