Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are nearing their November 18 launch and Nintendo is doing everything it can to get fans pumped. The latest trailer offers a look into a plethora of new features in this region . Without further ado, here it is for your viewing pleasure:

There is a lot to dissect in this footage, so let’s get right into it:

  • Three Stories: There are three distinct storylines for players to engage in with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They are…
    • Victory Road: The mostly tradition Pokémon story setup where the player travels around defeating gyms and, eventually, taking on the Pokémon League Champion. There are also Gym Tests to complete, which are non-combat based challenges.
    • Starfall Street: Team Star are the so-called bad guys this time around, but this squad is a tad different in that it’s made up of delinquent students. Take on their hideouts as well as the ludicrous vehicles that their leaders cruise around in.
    • The Path of Legends: This sets players on a quest to obtain a rare plant dubbed Herba Mystica. Unique to Paldea, it restores a Pokémon’s health. The catch is that you have to fight gigantic Titan Pokémon in order to get it.
  • Auto Battle: It’s now possible to have one of the Pokémon in your party go off on their own to battle wild Pocket Monsters and earn some Exp. while they’re at it. This frees the player up to explore a bit while their partner scores knockout after knockout.
  • New Characters Galore: A handful of new characters were shown off, including Geeta, the chairwoman of the Pokémon League, and Mela, one of the leaders of Team Star.
  • Titan Pokémon Aren’t Dynamax Pokémon (Probably): Although both are large in size, Titan Pokémon seem to be a different variety of enormous Pocket Monster.

Fans can also anticipate a slate of returning Pokémon alongside new ones, including favorites like Sudowoodo. Shroomish, Hypno, and many others. Are you feeling more excited to play Pokémon Scarlet and Violet thanks to this new trailer? Tell us down in the comments!
