Following the untimely death of Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, many were left wondering what would happen what would happen to Nintendo Directs. The executive’s polite nature, soft spoken charisma, and quirky sense of humor were a major appeal of the video presentations, and imagining a Direct without him was hard. It didn’t take too long for Nintendo to announce its plans to continue producing Directs, and we won’t have to wait much longer to see what they will look like without Iwata.
This Thursday, November 12, a new Nintendo Direct will be streamed online at 2 p.m. PST for North America, while Europeans will get their direct at 23:00 CET/22:00 GMT on November 11. While nothing specific has been announced about the presentation, Nintendo has stated it will feature upcoming releases for both 3DS and Wii U.
Considering a likely focus on the big holiday titles, big surprises seem unlikely. Though it will be interesting to see who, if anyone, is being positioned to fill Iwata’s sizable absence.

Well, this will be weird to see, but it’s good that they are doing them again. Only two short days away.
