Netflix launches its new Cuphead show this week on February 18, but it definitely doesn’t represent the end of the line for video game adaptations coming from the streaming service. Word has arrived from Neflix that it’s now working on a film version of BioShock, 2K’s popular first-person adventure series. Here’s the announcement:
“We all make choices, but in the end our choices make us.”

Beyond this stinger there’s not a lot else to know, other than that the image provided is from the first BioShock games, implying that we’ll likely at the very least see the underwater setting of Rapture and maybe a Big Daddy or two. Sonic the Hedgehog handily demonstrated that good video game movies can be a thing, but some of Netflix’s recent adaptations of anime properties have been hit or miss. Do you think we’ll get a proper take on BioShock whenever this film lands? Tell us in the comments!
