SNK decided to surprise everyone with word that NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 1 is available right now in the Nintendo Switch eShop. This compilation boasts ten NeoGeo Pocket Color titles, of which four have never previously been released on Nintendo Switch. You can give the announcement trailer a look, below:

- King of Fighters R-2
- The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny
- Fatal Fury First Contact
- SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium
- Metal Slug 1st Mission
- Metal Slug 2nd Mission
- Dark Arms
- Big Tournament Golf
Here’s what SNK has to say about NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 1:
- Four stellar games have been added to the six already on sale for a total of ten amazing classics for you to enjoy!
- View 3D models of the games and their cartridges. Zoom in and take a look around!
- Of course, titles compatible with the NeoGeo Pocket can also be displayed in monochrome!
- Take on a friend in either Tabletop or Handheld Modes! (Not available for some titles)
That bit about NeoGeo Pocket is interesting; for those who don’t know, NGPC was preceded by NeoGeo Pocket, but when Nintendo launched Game Boy Color almost immediately afterwards, SNK in turn went back to the drawing board and created the colorized version of the hardware that we all know as NeoGeo Pocket Color.
