NBA Playgrounds was a welcome addition to many a gamer’s library. Sports games infused with over-the-top, arcade action used to be common, but over the years they seemed to fall out of favor; until NBA Playground came out, that is. Now, thanks to the developers at Sabre Interactive, fans will get to take to the courts again for some less than realistic basketball.
Naturally, NBA Playgrounds 2 is expanding on its predecessor. A season mode is being added for some much needed single-player depth while more competitive players will be happy to see ranked leagues in the form of the Playgrounds Championship. General online play has also been improved thanks to four player matches and dedicated servers.
Playgrounds 2 currently has a moderately vague 2018 release window, so stay on the lookout for more information as to when exactly it will be bouncing to Switch.
