Many tracks from the Pokémon series have gone on to become well-known, instantly recognizable classics. We’ve now learned that Toby Fox, creator of Undertale and composer of that game’s music, has contributed a track to the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield. Perhaps his song will go on to become a well-loved classic, as well!
Hey, I'm finally allowed to announce this: I was asked to compose a track for Pokémon Sword & Shield! It's a huge honor to be asked to be part of something like this. I hope you enjoy hearing it when the game comes out! pic.twitter.com/VmroEgJWqI

Fox, who has also worked with Game Freak on the Little Town Hero soundtrack, described being asked to compose a track for Pokémon as a “huge honor.” He went on to say that the song he composed isn’t “a main track or anything,” but it’s still a major accomplishment nonetheless. Congratulations, Toby!
Pokémon Sword and Shield launch for Nintendo Switch on November 15.
