Few things in the video game industry build anticipation like the wait for new consoles, and that’s especially true when we know something is coming sooner rather than later. At a recent financial briefing, Nintendo gave the vaguest of teases that there is indeed news coming up about its highly anticipated next console, so far known only as NX.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima stated that additional information would be coming “not too late in the course of this year.” Of course, this statement leaves a great deal to the imagination, as “not too late” isn’t particularly precise language, but one could easily see how it might lend credence to speculation that there will be significant announces at E3 in June, if not sooner. Of course, time will tell how accurate those rumblings are.
It’s also worth noting that the briefing included conversations about Nintendo’s impending push into the mobile space, so more information on that effort is expected in the near future as well.

To me, it means just the opposite, as if to say info is coming late this year, just “not too late…”
Sadly that is also what I interpreted it as meaning. Still, with all of the NX related information swirling around at the moment and news about Nintendo’s finances, I don’t think we will have to wait too long to hear more!
Not. Holding. My. Breath.
