In the spirit of Halloween, Capcom is bringing some optional cosplay to Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate with special crossover costumes including outfits based on a number of their classic characters. The update includes new looks not just for your hunter, but also your Palicoes.
The new outfits take inspiration from iconic characters like Chun Li and Blanka from the Street Fighter series, Amaterasu from Ōkami, Dante from Devil May Cry, as well as Mega Man and Phoenix Wright from their eponymous games. There are also cult classic characters like Arthur and Strider Hiryu, from Ghosts & Goblins and Strider respectively, as well as Navirou, a Palico from the series’ RPG spin-off Monster Hunter Stories. While your armor draws inspiration from these character designs, the Palico outfits are closer to straight up cosplay as you can see in the trailer below.
