In the the last eighty years, we have seen more Monopoly versions than most people will probably ever know about, but Nintendo fans might be interested to hear of the latest version to join the roster – Monopoloy Gamer: Mario Kart Edition.
In this version, players ‘race’ around the board by passing ‘Go’ and competing for a Grand Prix card. It includes items from the Mario Kart universe like shells and banana peels, and the properties are all race locations from the series.
Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, and Toad are all playable characters at launch and there will also be a “Power Pack” available to buy this fall which will include Bowser, Rosalina, Shy Guy, Metal Mario, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi as playable characters.
Monopoloy Gamer: Mario Kart Edition can be purchased now from GameStop for $29.99 (available here) and from other retailers this summer.
