Fans of obscure, long-running Japanese board game-like video games have reason to rejoice today: after a four year hiatus, Konami is reviving the Momotaro Dentetsu series. While not as well known in the US due to a lack of releases, the franchise has been around since the late eighties and has seen numerous releases across almost every imaginable platform over its nearly three decades of existence. This time around, the series will be coming to Wii U and 3DS.
While little has been said about this new entry, the franchise has always been a virtual board game about business, industry, real estate, and financially screwing over the competing players. The series is often compared to games like Monopoly, albeit with a distinctly Japanese flair.

More information about the new title will be revealed in a live stream scheduled for May 5 at 9 PM Japan time. However, whether or not it will see a release outside of Japan will likely be answered at a later date.

Apparently it was a mistake on the broadcast. They forgot to swap out the info, and mistakenly labeled the old game as a new game.
