It was recently confirmed that Minecraft is finally being united across multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.

Microsoft and Mojang have announced that once the Bedrock update goes live for the Switch version of the game, players will be able to earn achievements tied to Xbox Live. Other features, including cross-platform play, will be part of all supported versions.

Sony remains the only holdout on allowing cross-platform play between all console versions of Minecraft, though it’s unclear why they alone continue to remain against it.

Do you own Minecraft on Switch? Will you be playing with anyone you know that owns the game for the Xbox One? Let us know in the comments!
