Tetris 99 remains the undefeated king of crossovers. The game, a battle royale where 99 competitors face off against one another playing Tetris, has seen numerous games featured as themes for players to enjoy. These themes are offered up during events dubbed Maximus Cups, and the 34th such competition is about to start this Friday, July 7. The theme this time around? Pikmin 4! Take a look:
As the video shows, the theme is loaded with Pikmin 4 scenery and characters, as well as music. Pikmin 4 itself will be coming to Nintendo Switch starting July 21. Fans will have until Monday, July 10 to get their hands on the theme. Note that players must have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription and earn 100 event points in order to permanently unlock the theme for use in Tetris 99 after the cup is concluded.
