Tetris 99 is rapidly approaching its 30th Maximus Cup. Starting on August 5, players will be able to play and try to earn a number of previous themes from past Maximus Cups. There will be a different theme to unlock depending on what day and time you log on:

Between August 5 and 10, here’s the schedule of rounds:
- Round 1: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury theme is the reward. From 12 AM to 11:59 PM PST on 08.05 (Friday).
- Round 2: Miitopia theme is the reward. Runs from 12 AM to 11:59 PM PST on 08.06 (Saturday).
- Round 3: Mario Golf: Super Rush theme is the reward. Runs from 12 AM to 11:59 PM PST on 08.07 (Sunday).
- Round 4: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD theme is the reward. Runs from 12 AM to 11:59 PM PST on 08.08 (Monday).
- Round 5: WarioWare: Get It Together! theme is the reward. Runs from 12 AM to 11:59 PM PST on 08.09 (Tuesday).
- Round 6: The Samus Edition theme (Metroid Dread) is the reward and runs from 12 AM to 11:59 PM PST on 08.10 (Wednesday).
