Masahiro Sakurai to End His YouTube Series This Month

Masahiro Sakurai’s on Creating Games YouTube series has been a huge hit with fans since its debut in 2022. The channel focuses on game development, offering a variety of insights into the process of making games, as well as Sakurai’s own experiences working in the industry for many years now. Sadly, the channel is going to be sunsetting as of October 15, 2024 with a final episode, as described by Sakurai himself on X:

As mentioned previously, I’ll be wrapping up production of new episodes for my YouTube channel soon. Right now, it’s looking like the last scheduled episode will release on Tuesday, October 15th.

As the post notes, Sakurai will be following up this last episode with “a special finale” at some point down the road, so at least there’s that to look forward to.
