Developer Firaxis Games, with publisher Take-Two Interactive, had announced that Marvel’s Midnight Suns would be coming to Nintendo Switch, albeit after the game’s launch on other platforms. While Midnight Suns has since launched to solid reviews, it would seem that the delayed release for Switch has become no release at all. Firaxis revealed the cancellation via its official website:
“Note that a Nintendo Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer planned.”
That lone sentence is indeed the entirety of the developer’s statement about the game’s fate on Switch. While it will still be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it would seem that something has caused Firaxis and Take-Two to want to back away from bringing Midnight Suns to Nintendo’s hybrid console. As of this writing, the game’s product page remains active on the official Nintendo website, but likely soon it will be taken down.
