At launch, Mario Tennis Aces was met with some complaints about it being a little short on content, but since then it has seen a number of updates ranging from small tweaks to significant additions. Now, the game has been updated to version 3.0.0 and it too has introduced plenty of changes both big and small.
Along with a number of tweaks to general gameplay, characters and stages, there are some major changes. First, Nintendo has added a new cutscene introduction to the game’s adventure mode. However, the biggest change is a brand-new mode, Ring Shot, which will be available in three variants. This new mode will also serve as the focus of the newest limited time Co-Op Challenge which will run through June 1.
With this update, Nintendo is continuing its recent trend of providing long running support for Switch titles. Aces has been out for about 10 months, so it’s great that Nintendo is still adding value for those who already picked it up, or might now consider grabbing the larger title.
