Japanese magazine CoroCoro has outed the newest Pokémon set to make its debut, and its name is Magiana. Details are scarce at this point, but one curious tidbit that has been revealed is that Magiana is a man-made Pokémon– interesting, considering Mewtwo can technically be considered much the same, what with its genetic manipulation of Mew’s DNA and its being made in a lab.
In any case, while it’s unclear when or if Magiana will be heading to any of the current or upcoming Pokémon games, the new Pocket Monster will be in an upcoming movie, if nothing else. Currently being translated as “Volcanion and the Exquisite Magiana,” fans can look forward to the Pokémon making its debut here when the film hits Japan later in the year.
