Long ago, Sony believed itself capable of challenging Nintendo in the realm of portable gaming and released the PSP. While the handheld was significantly more powerful than the contemporaneous Nintendo DS, it never really gained much traction, aside from becoming a dedicated Monster Hunter machine for many a Japanese gamer. As much as the system stumbled, it at least launched with one notable title, Lumines.
Now, that interesting hybrid between a Tetris-like puzzler and electronica-fueled rhythm game is returning in the form of Lumines Remastered. In addition to bringing back the innovative gameplay and beloved music, this new version of the game will take advantage of the Joy Cons’ HD Rumble feature to deliver an enhanced, more physical musical experience.
Lumines Remastered is currently scheduled for release sometime in May, so expect more details in the near future.
