Luigi’s Mansion on 3DS hasn’t even been released yet and Nintendo is already talking about the next installment in the series. Luigi’s Mansion 3 was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast and is looking to be shaping up quite nicely on Nintendo Switch. There’s no word yet on who’s developing the game, but it bears more than a striking resemblance to the visual style of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, which was created by Next Level Games.
Whether or not Next Level is handing creative duties this time around remains to be seen, but odds are good that whoever is working on Luigi’s Mansion 3 is off to a good start. New environments can be glimpsed in the small bit of footage that was shown, along with returning characters like the adorable spirit dog from Dark Moon.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is arriving in 2019. We’ll update with more information as we get it!
