Starting today, Super Mario Run players can get a heavier helping of coins in the game’s Toad Rally mode. Players will receive 1.5 times as many coins as normal, provided they clear the level, beating the opposing player’s record. A loss will not result in any bonus.
Rally tickets are still required to compete in Toad Rally, and the number of Toads acquired during the level won’t change. Accumulated coins can in turn be used to unlock extras, so more is certainly a good thing!
This is the first special event held for Super Mario Run since the game made its debut in December. The Loads of Coins event will last until January 26.
