Shantae is a perennial fan-favorite franchise among many of the Nintendo faithful. The series dates back to 2002 when it first appeared on Game Boy Color (which is worth a pretty penny if you happen to have a copy of it). In the nearly 20 years since, Shantae has gone from obscure indie sensation to a bonafide powerhouse franchise in its own right. Now, the latest installment in the series is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 28 in the form of Shantae and the Seven Sirens. However, prior to its digital launch in the eShop, Limited Run Games will be making physical copies of the game available starting on May 15!
Open preorders for @LimitedRunGames‘ physical Shantae and the Seven Sirens for PS4 and Switch begin 10AM ET on May 15! There’s a standard edition ($34.99) plus a collector’s edition ($69.99) with a soundtrack, poster, SteelBook, trading cards, and non-functional Game Boy cart! pic.twitter.com/VTmCdatMG6
