It has been over two years since LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga made its debut at E3 2019. At the time, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hadn’t even hit theaters, with the on-stage presenter having to skirt around that bit of the campaign in his overview of the game. Now, Rise of Skywalker is a distant memory and The Skywalker Saga has seen a number of delays from its original 2020 launch window. The long wait is nearly over, though, as TT Games and Warner Bros. Games have revealed that fans will be able to finally play The Skywalker Saga starting on April 5. In celebration, take a look at this extensive gameplay trailer:
Are you excited to be able to play all nine of the Star Wars mainline films in LEGO form in a single game? Tell us down in the comments!

I wrongly assumed this was just a bundle of the old Lego Star Wars games (which never spoke to me) but it appears to be its own beast.
Bizarrely, I find the parody style and lack of taking the source material seriously to be more appealing now that the sequel trilogy exists. (Those movies are themselves Star Wars parody.) It’s like playing around with action figures in the 80s, just having fun with that universe. Celebrating its good, bad, and ugly.
As a bonus, Lego games go on sale all the time. I can wait for a discounted version with the dlc included.
It’s really crazy seeing this game is FINALLY coming out after so long. I remember sitting at E3 watching them preview the game with extreme secrecy because Rise of Skywalker hadn’t come out yet. That was already three years ago! Who’d of thought a LEGO game would take so long to produce, although I’m sure COVID is the main reason. Still, hopefully it will have been worth the wait.
