TT Games has been making Lego games for quite a while now; the original Lego Star Wars was released in 2005 and it’s been followed up by many other titles, both Star Wars-related and otherwise. We already learned the next title would be Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and, from the sound of things, it’s coming along nicely.
“The first build that we had on Switch ran like a dream, so it’s great,” said Producer James Burgon. “With the new technology, we started off and had that in mind because Switch is one of our biggest platforms actually in the US, so we really want to do it justice on that platform.”
The developer’s head of design, Arthur Parsons, also discussed how the company has always focused on creating consistent experiences across a variety of platforms. Earlier games had to run equally well on Wii as they did on Xbox 360 and PS3, so they have plenty of experience getting games working on systems of wildly varying power.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will cover events across all three trilogies and should be available sometime in 2020.
