Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD-Themed Joy-Con Up For Pre-Order, Yet Have Already Sold Out

In the Nintendo Direct last week, along with the announcement of Skyward Sword HD‘s arrival to Switch, a pair of limited edition Zelda Joy-Con were also revealed and set to become available the day of the game’s launch. Yet less than a week later, GameStop and Best Buy have already sold out of pre-orders.

Best Buy lists that more stock will be “coming soon”, but any other details are unknown. Hopefully fans make up the bulk of the pre-orders, but it is likely that scalpers are at it again. Scalpers are already making profits off the McDonald’s Pokemon cards from the series’ 35^th anniversary.

Hopefully, Nintendo will both provide more of these special edition Zelda Joy-Con as well as create a system to protect against scalpers. However, based on history, this seems unlikely.
