For indie developers, finding success often comes down to filling a missing void on a platform. With that in mind, developer Fantastico Studio must have seen the lack of Netflix on Switch as the perfect opportunity to release Landflix Odyssey, a quirky new title that parodies the popular streaming service.
Landflix Odyssey follows the exploits of Larry, an everyday man sucked into his Landflix account. In order to escape, Larry will have to defeat the company’s CEO by visiting a number of different levels based on popular television shows, including Blindevil (Daredevil), Peculiar Stuff (Stranger Things) and more! The game is likely still in early development as it isn’t set for release until September, but the video below gives us a look at the title’s 2D platforming.
Fantastico Studio will launch a Kickstarter campaign for Landflix Odyssey on February 5. According to the developer, regardless of the outcome, the team feels confident that the title will find a publisher and release on Switch. Stay tuned for more information as it develops!
