Game development isn’t easy. The hours are grueling, burnout is common and it’s often hard to get players to notice your game when there are more options than ever before. Now imagine developing a game while on a sailboat! Developer Carlos Coronado did just that for the upcoming game Koral, a puzzle game in which players attempt to save the planet’s coral reefs.
While other games have tasked players with exploring the ocean, Koral has a bit of a different take. Players control a current, which must transport healing energy to the reefs. The game boasts 65 puzzles, 15 unique environments and 32 collectibles in total. The same day the game releases, players will be able to check out a documentary about the unique development process, which took place on the Cap De Creus marine reserve.
Koral will cost $11.99 when it arrives on eShop May 16.
