25 years have passed since Kirby’s Dream Land debuted on Game Boy. You can read all about the the history of Dream Land here if you’d like to brush up on the pink glutton’s origin but, suffice to say, the arrival of Kirby was a pretty big deal and the character continues to be one of Nintendo’s biggest draws.
In honor of his milestone anniversary, Nintendo has unveiled a whole host of Kirby-related discounts on games as well as some spiffy My Nintendo rewards.
To see which games are on sale, click here. There are titles available for Wii U and 3DS that should delight both anyone who hasn’t played them and those who haven’t played them in a while. The sale ends August 8, so act fast!
Some of the My Nintendo rewards are especially fascinating, too, so don’t sleep on them either. Kirby Right back At Ya!, for instance, is a 3D anime that was originally only offered as a special prize a couple of years back (that this writer actually won!). There’s also a 25th anniversary theme available for 3DS/2DS owners.
That’s a ton of Kirby goodness to soak in and, with more on the way this year and next, the puffball’s celebration won’t be ending any time soon.
