Not too long ago, it seemed as though the urge among many indie developers was to make a twin-stick shooter about fighting hordes of zombies. Of course, that means there’s no shortage of choices for these sorts of games, but there haven’t been as many new ones recently. Thanks to #Killallzombies, those looking for a newer zombie massacring experience will have another option.
The game’s twin-shooting action is spread across three modes: Survival, Flag Protection, and Co-op. While the first and last are relatively self-explanatory, Flag Protection sounds like it will play like a more action-packed take on a tower defense game as you protect your base by setting up fortifications in addition to killing zombies. There’s also the promise of many weapons, ammo types, perks, and dynamically changing levels.
There’s no shortage of indie shooters in the world so it will be interesting to see if these ideas are enough to make #Killallzombies stand out. We’ll find out when the game launches on Switch eShop sometime next month.
